Heart Condition

Heart on Fire for God - Art by Lillis Boyer

Heart Condition

Pastor Allan asked the congregation to stretch out their hands and pray for him.  Pray the Holy Spirit will touch hearts and work in what ever direction He desires.  May we have the courage to respond to The Holy Spirit.  Our Government is on a downward spiral.

The Prophet Isaiah spoke of Israel, but it could very well apply to us today.
Isaiah 1:4
(NKJV)  Alas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, they have turned away backward.

We need repentance in our land, but repentance begins in the church.  We don’t like to hear that we are missing it.  Many have corrupted God’s word and twisted it to their own liking.  It is time to break out of that stuff that hinders your walk, and to take care of your heart.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.

On Sunday we sing songs of praise, yet we are bound.  We need to be set free to live for Jesus the other days of the week.  The problem is a heart condition.

You know what the Word says, and the Holy Spirit tells us No, yet you are disobedient and are doing things you should not do.

God doesn’t want our Nambe Pambe sacrifices.  He wants a clean and willing heart that is ready to obey Him.

Says the Lord. In Isaiah 1:11, 16, 19
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs or goats.  “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.  Cease to do evil.  If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land - -

In the Jewish temple there were continual sacrifices made to cover sin, but Jesus paid a ONE time sacrifice when He died on the cross.

Repentance is not a one time deal.  Keep a tender heart to repent and turn.  Listen to the Holy Spirit and be quick to obey.  Some are not truly repentant, they are only sorry they got caught.  That isn’t sorrow to repentance.

Cry Out - Jesus Help Me
Some have been able to stop drinking and doing drugs, but their mind is still the same.  We don’t have time for games, and we need to have our minds renewed with the Word.

Understand that the enemy wants to destroy you.  When you stumble; get up and get back on track.  What happens is we get too tired and discouragement sets in.  We need renewed power and strength to live right.  It is time to make a quality decision to turn your back on those things that had you bound and walk in the freedom Christ gives.

I am not talking about religion, but a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.  He desires to do signs and wonders, but we must step up and step out.

Know that Jesus loves and cares about you.  You are the reason He gave His blood on the cross.  We have been washed in the Blood of Jesus and He has made us worthy.

Pastor Allan Prayed:  “Father God, right now, set us exactly where you want us.  Give us your strength to listen and obey.  For what ever reason we have been hard hearted, take those things away and endue in us the power to live holy lives through the power given by your Holy Spirit.”

Amen! Lord, set me where I need to be for your glory in Jesus Name.

This is a call for Constant purging and pruning of our hearts.

Many Blessings Aunt Hazel

Our ladies group is currently studying Isaiah and we say the same thing...sounds like our world today.

If we in the church will humbly repent and worship God, we could see our nation rescued. The solution to everything seems to stem from worshiping God. He truly does care.

WE do need repentance in the land so I am praying God help me to be humble and usable for His service. Things will get worst I think, but there is a bright future for the believers when Jesus comes to get us. Which should convict us to share the gospel whenever the door opens.

Well, the Lord has healed my heart physically several times since I was in my mid-20s to early 40s. Now, when my heart feels hurtful again, it has a different piece. I trust Him for the consequences. The "worst" thing I could do...with my heart and brain and body not working as well...is be in Heaven. I think of heaven often, and truly look forward to being there. In our sinful world, I focus on Him. And worship, pray, glorify Him significantly every day and every night. Thank you for sharing!
